Who We Are.

Sandy Paradise Recovery was founded from a place of love and remembrance. My brother and I opened this home in honor of our mother, who battled addiction throughout her adult life. She was deeply loved, wise, and full of warmth — yet like many, she avoided treatment out of fear of being alone.

When she passed away from an unrelated medical diagnosis, we felt called to create the kind of place she would have needed: one rooted in connection, understanding, and respect. At Sandy Paradise, no one has to walk through recovery alone. We honor her memory every day by supporting others on their journey toward a brighter, healthier life.

One addict helping another. Our mother, Sandra Yvonne Hodge, probably didn’t think she would positively influence others. Sandra faced her battle with addiction, like many of us. Addiction can disrupt the lives of families all over the world. As her children, we now honor our mother. Sandra's favorite flower was the bird of paradise, and through Sandy Paradise Recovery, we give her the flowers she deserves.
